NEW KINDLE ebook edition!!!

by Peter C Glover & Professor Michael Economides

What readers say ...

An excellent, readable book for anyone who wants to know the real implications of climate madness for energy policy. Steve Goreham, author Climatism: Science, Common Sense and the 21st Century’s Hottest Topic.

It doesn't matter if you believe global warming is anthropogenic or not, this book presents arguments on why world governments are approaching the whole issue in a wrong way, and their reasons for doing so. I would definitely recommend the book to anyone wanting to broaden their points of view regarding climate change political debate, science of climate change, economics of climate change, and future energy security for nations. A. Morales

It could end up being a very important book describing a kind of "mass hysteria" time in history - perhaps even a watershed book. I highly recommend that everyone who cares about how their tax dollars are spent read this book. The authors provide a wealth of perspectives, interpretations, and important information not readily available in other books. Donald G. Nelson

Climate Alarmism: And The Wall Comes Tumbling Down

Take your pick for metaphors. Either the Global Warming Hoax Wall is crumbling - or climate change alarmism is suffering the death of a thousand cuts. Either expression is apt for the imploding of the UN IPCCs alarmist pseudo-science.

Climategate has been followed by Glaciergate (the Himalayas apparently are not now melting) and Amazongate (neither are the rainforests disappearing leading to growing hurricane activity).

Here for those interested in truth rather than propaganda are links to the litany of recent exposures that have warmed all who are still currently suffering freezing temperatures in the northern hemisphere:

IPCC based claims on student dissertation and magazine article

IPCC shamed by bogus rainsfrest article

Stern report was changed after publication

Stern report 'misused' climate study  and, particularly illuminating...

Philip Stott: Global Warming - the collapse of a Grand Narrative

Two things I want to highlight here, however. First, (and something we have covered extensively in our upcoming book - see previous blogs) the consistent theme of dishonesty and a lack of scientific and personal integrity that runs through the entire IPPC alarmist community. Second, how the mainstream media journos are currently begin to slither out from under their various rocks to attack the badly wounded IPCC 'beast' intent on claiming cudos for the final 'kill'. But let us not forget it was the MSM who MADE global warming alarmism what it is by taking the IPCC side, refusing to report non-alarmism science and data and by ad hominen attacks on those of us who had the temerity to stick with real science and actual data - i.e. science fact not science speculation.

Back in 2000 Michael Crichton rightly predicted the decline and extinction of the mass media. There is much hand-wringing in media circles now about 'paid content online' etc to save their necks. I say, let them swing. Hell, we should be queuing to tie the knots. They say the first casualty of war is Truth. It was certainly true of the media's war on those they dubbed climate 'deniers'. The MSM may have given up dealing in it, but Truth does have a nasty habit of winning out, ultimately.

MSM. R.I.P. (Rest in Perdition)

Scientific evidence does not have to be altered if it is true. The reason it has been altered is to try and prove global warming is a problem. This changing of temperature data alone shows there was not enough evidence to promote climate change and crap and trade legislation - so they lied. Yes, I meant to say crap and trade.

Now we have distortions in the Himalaya report on temperatures and we find out President Obama is giving millions of dollars for global warming research - with our stimulus money. Climate change politicians have an agenda regardless of the will of the people. Obama was in freezing weather in Copenhagen, during his global warming stint, and returned to the U.S. in freezing weather. And now the weather is freezing again with record breaking cold temperatures in MANY countries.

Global Warming is one of those topics, like abortion or the death sentence, that only has a right or wrong answer when it comes to what one believes. Currently, there is not enough evidence to support either position as *the* truth. I understand why people care whether or not global warming could be a reality, but what I don't understand is why some people have become close-minded because of it. This is an opinion that I am currently exploring through my own blog, http://moneygreengood.blogspot.com/.

It seems like many people automatically dismiss a product or position because it's "green." Green is associated with global warming advocates and therefore green items are of no use to those who do not believe in global warming. I think that's just ridiculous. I don't believe in global warming, but I'm not going to dismiss a product that could save me money just because it's marketed as being "green" and good for the environment. What does the environment have to do with me saving money? Nothing. Exactly. Therefore, if a low-flow showerhead will save me $5 a month on my water bill and $10 a month on my electric, why the heck wouldn't I buy it? Because it makes me a global warming supporter? No, buying it shows that I am a smart consumer who knows how to stick it to those companies that bank on the money I waste through the unnecessary energy I use. I save water, I save energy, and I save money. It has nothing to do with global warming in my mind. But so many people make a big deal about *not* going green because they don't believe in that global warming crap that they miss out on the idea that green items can save them money. And the last time I checked, people like saving money. I know I do.

It doesn't matter to me if global warming turns out to be a hoax or not because I will still encourage and be eco-friendly (or "green"). Even if global warming doesn't exist, and I have seen convincing evidence from both sides so it is hard for me to come to conclusion at the moment, we should still be eco-friendly and do what is good for the environment, for society and for the planet at large.

Like the above commenter I also find it frustrating that people won't "go green" because they think it is a global warming or "liberal" scam. My father is one of these people: he refuses to do anything "green" because he thinks it is a scam. It doesn't matter how much I explain to him that it will save him money (and I leave the environmental aspects out of it since anything having to do with being environmentally friendly is a "liberal" scam): he refuses to do it.

Maybe we should start separating "green" from global warming and more people will start to see it isn't anything "radical." I don't know if the green movement started with global warming (probably not) but I know that it is most associated with it which is why so many refuse to embrace it, which is a terrible shame.

Some people just completely miss the forest for the trees...

I don't use "green" products for one reason and one reason alone; they simply do not work as well as conventional products. I know this through experience. And I've replaced the low-flow shower head in my apartment because I enjoy the feeling of a high-powered hot water stream while in the shower. Oh, and yes, I believe that Global Warming is a complete sham and hoax...

As far as AGW is, I feel that there's loads of exaggeration to be had all over the place. But with that being said, however, I still enjoy products with higher efficiency, recycle, compost, and try to encourage a great deal of what some AGW propose for separate reasons such as increased domestic economy, less smog in the air, etc. I also feel that Global Warming is something that began with decent intentions, but many people have taken the more radical side of it, which is disappointing to say the least.

I disagree that global warming is an issue that can relate to abortion or the death penalty. Abortion and the death penalty have to do with moral and religious views and values, and global warming does not. People believe what they see and global warming is something they see everywhere. It is based of science and facts not moral beliefs, whether it is happening or not. The belief either way doesn’t relate to abortion or the death penalty. Whether or not it is happening, which I’m not saying I believe it is, but why not help the environment, global warming or not? Why would it hurt anybody to go green whether or not it saves you money or you don’t believe in global warming? Whether or not global warming can be proved or not, it is proved that carbon emissions, pollution, etc, are taking a toll on the environment and planet, and could potentially be destroying them soon, or even way later so why not take some steps to save the planet now or for future people? It doesn’t have to be because you believe in global warming, it doesn’t have to have anything to do with global warming, it has to do with taking care of the planet we live on, and the only planet that can support life as of now. So, unless we want to be but a small extinct species, now or in many, many years, why not just help the environment that keeps us alive on the planet we live on, and that can be helped by “going green.” So I agree that we should get “going green” away from global warming because it’s just making it so people don’t and yes, just because you go green you don’t have to necessarily believe in global warming. Also, yes, it does save you money but there are other, better reasons that you should be thinking about it, although it is a bonus that it doesn’t cost as much, so why not? I just don't understand why people are too stubborn to admit that going green will help. People just don't want to be wrong, or contradict themselves by also saying they don't believe in global warming, yet, they wouldn't be at all. Lastly, I do also believe that global warming was started with good intentions and a possible thought that was blown way out of proportion by many people who don’t necessarily know all that they think they do.

People do think that the expository essay writing is the really time taking procedure. However, we count on the sociology essay writing service support anytime when that's required.

"I don't use "green" products for one reason and one reason alone; they simply do not work as well as conventional products."

I'm not sure which "green" products you are referring to but all the ones I have used have worked better, the same or just "different." I don't consider a low-flow shower head to be worse since it saves money and water.

I guess you are just more concerned with yourself and your comfort rather than everyone else's: perhaps this is where we differentiate. And perhaps this is the selfish American attitude that needs changing.

It's a shame that some journalists have jumped into this whole climate change issue and write stuff like they've done scientific research about it. But the focus shouldn't be on whether climate change is happening or not but on being consistent with our "green efforts" to save the planet.
