NEW KINDLE ebook edition!!!

by Peter C Glover & Professor Michael Economides

What readers say ...

An excellent, readable book for anyone who wants to know the real implications of climate madness for energy policy. Steve Goreham, author Climatism: Science, Common Sense and the 21st Century’s Hottest Topic.

It doesn't matter if you believe global warming is anthropogenic or not, this book presents arguments on why world governments are approaching the whole issue in a wrong way, and their reasons for doing so. I would definitely recommend the book to anyone wanting to broaden their points of view regarding climate change political debate, science of climate change, economics of climate change, and future energy security for nations. A. Morales

It could end up being a very important book describing a kind of "mass hysteria" time in history - perhaps even a watershed book. I highly recommend that everyone who cares about how their tax dollars are spent read this book. The authors provide a wealth of perspectives, interpretations, and important information not readily available in other books. Donald G. Nelson

"President Should Boycott Copenhagen", says Sarah Palin

Sarah Plain has today waded into the Climategate affair with some astounding clear thinking. Unlike those who have attempted to make the case that the recent email releases "changed nothing" when clear fraud, strong-arm tactics and downright manipulation of the facts is involved, Palin has made her political stance perfectly clear.

This is "politicized science", she says, pointing out the hypocrisy of Obama whose campaign message was to get back to real science. Here is Palin in her own words from the Washington Post piece:

We're not the only nation whose people are questioning climate change schemes. In the European Union, energy prices skyrocketed after it began a cap-and-tax program. Meanwhile, Australia's Parliament recently defeated a cap-and-tax bill. Surely other nations will follow suit, particularly as the climate e-mail scandal continues to unfold.

In his inaugural address, President Obama declared his intention to "restore science to its rightful place." But instead of staying home from Copenhagen and sending a message that the United States will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices, the president has upped the ante.

He plans to fly in at the climax of the conference in hopes of sealing a "deal." Whatever deal he gets, it will be no deal for the American people. What Obama really hopes to bring home from Copenhagen is more pressure to pass the Democrats' cap-and-tax proposal. This is a political move. The last thing America needs is misguided legislation that will raise taxes and cost jobs -- particularly when the push for such legislation rests on agenda-driven science.

Without trustworthy science and with so much at stake, Americans should be wary about what comes out of this politicized conference. The president should boycott Copenhagen.

Sarah gets my vote for preferring integrity and truth to speculation and ideological social engineering on the back of a manufactured case.

MediaCurves.com conducted a study among 314 Americans viewing a news clip on the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. Results found that the majority (72%) indicated that the United States should increase its efforts to prevent and prepare for climate change. After viewing the video, support for the statement that there is scientific evidence that the average temperature on the earth has been rising over the past few decades rose from 60% to 68% among viewers. More in depth results can be seen at:

Sarah Palin is correct. In 1971, I first encountered the GLOBAL WARMING CULT. Terry McAuliffe was pushing the fledgling global flooding ideology out of a cleverly named unisex-clothing shop called Hang-Ups, in a converted African American Baptist Church, acquired under false pretenses and wittily christened THE ARK, on South Patrick Street, in Alexandria, Virginia. THE ARK was supposed to rival New York’s already famous Fillmore East, but folded a short time later due to its corrupt business practices.

Although persuasive, the global flooding argument didn't ring true. I knew that NASA, the military and government agencies did extensive climate research, and said as much. If global warming could melt the polar ice caps thus causing global flooding by 1976, the alarm would come from the aforementioned sources. Terry McAuliffe, who probably named THE ARK himself, took me aside and explained, when it came to global warming; you couldn’t trust the government to tell the truth.

As we know, 1976 came and went without global flooding. I still had that $45-dollar pair of striped slacks just like Hillary’s. I don’t know which was worse. I never regretted being booted from the cult (I was hardly ever in), and never expected to run into Terry or his people again, especially decades later in sunny California. Yet there they were on the Central Coast, singing the same old tune with some major new innovations. They had applied the global warming hysteria to higher education. Like global warming itself, education now became a massive fraud scheme designed to enrich the GLOBAL WARMING CULT. By 1995, The Brethren Of The Coast had grown exponentially. There would be much more to manmade global warming than mere water spotting: http://theseedsof9-11.com

The global warming controversy is fueled by the science being non-definitive in predicting what to expect in the very short-term -- the only time frame politicians care about. Given that any climate change, be it warming or cooling, can lead to disruptions, the topic is made-to-order for politicians who are of the mindset "never waste a crisis" as a means of pushing their agendas. Thus, it was not suprising that Obama would go to Copenhagen. What was suprising is that he apparently did not commit the US to any binding international agreement to reduce carbon emissions, as one might have expected. I would like to interpret this as encouraging, but it is more likely sinister, and the axe of cap and tax still hovers over our necks. However, it could be worse. If Obama realized the _longer-term_ facts about climate change, which science is clearer on, he would realize the crisis is even graver than he thinks. He could then scrap cap and tax, but I hate to imagine what he might substitute in its place! For a somewhat unconventional perspective on the global warming controversy that lead to these observations, see http://www.jreality.com/poli/index.html

I have yet to have any "man made global warming" theorist explain how and how is global warming which started well over twenty thousand years ago, long before man started burning oil and coal, could have ended the last ice age. The remaining glaciers are the last remnants of that ice age. The North American continent, as well as most of the world, was covered by ice to a depth, in many places, of two miles or more. The ice stretched as far south in what is now the United States, into central Georgia. Were no factories, oil wells, coal mines or Ronald Reagans, to blame the warming on then, so what caused then and continues to cause it today?

Could it be the natural cycle that this planet goes through on a continuing basis for millions of years?

Not if you believe Al Gore and his Styrofoam simulated polar ice melt as depicted in his fictional movie.

I think the problem stems from the liberal left's political agenda to blame warming on the success of industrialization. Something they loathe, in their attempt to create a dependence on government for our everyday lives. In other words, to move us into a socialist, or even, a communist, society.

Even though socialism and communism have proven themselves to be self destructing, there are those on the left who would rather see their agenda take hold than to have conservatives prove that capitalism is a self preserving way of life. In other words, liberals would rather destroy the world economy than to admit the truth.

I welcome any opposing views as long as the author uses science or logic in his opposition. This should not be a place to argue, it should a place to debate. The 'yeah, it is" or "no it's not" won't work, those will be ignored.
Give me an honest, logical or scientific response, and I will be glad to evaluate it. Prove me wrong, and I will appreciate it. And I will admit I'm wrong.

Thank you,
Tom Brooks

i do not really agree on the global warming aspect. But i don't think we should boycott copenhagen. It is a chance to see what everyone else is bringing to the table and a chance to find out if there really is a problem in some countries. There is no doubt we should cut down on the gas and definitely find an alternative energy. With copenhagen we can now see if the other countries have figured this out.

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterrville19

I think copenhagen is stupid. There is absolutly no point in it. All of these leaders should be focused on their own countries instead of this stuff.

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterTom Jones

This could possibly be a worldwide problem that everyone is involved in. This climate change isn't just happening to one country. If only one was being involved i would agree with you and say that copenhagen is stupid. But the fact that the entire planet is at harm, this is a pretty mandatory event that should be held.

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterrville19

But in a way i agree with the other tom up there and that this is a natural process like one of my friends said its a cleansing process showing us to make upo for the mistakes me made in our planet

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterrville19

yes it is a natural process, but a time goes on it can be shown that history repeats itself, there for who says there wont be another ice age etc. i do agree that there is not much you can do to prevent this now that it is this out of control, but we can still slow down the process.

i agree with you sir. We could definitely slow it down. Maybe not solve the problem of climate change but i just wish this would go away. Thats why i feel that copenhagen is needed as far as to solve the problems of climate change.

i couldn't agree with you more, you are a smart smart man.
