Global Warming Hysteria.com is a month old

I formally launched this site just one month ago today. At the time of launching I had proposed to update it a couple of times a week, as I have my own writing career to consider.  But such has been its success that I have been forced to spend between two and four hours each working day researching for and maintaining it. GWH.com has inthe single month had:

  • over 12,000 unique visitors
  • over 40K hits/page views and, as of this morning,
  • over 630 subscribers to the RSS daily blog updates (rising at between 40 and 70 per day at present).

A new Gallup Poll report showed that though most Americans (and its probably the same elsewhere) were not panicked (i.e. non-alarmist - they felt real problems were at least 10 years away) they had imbibed the junk science and mainstream media culture hype and, largely, have believed the relentless propaganda (alternate views not being heard of course). It looks like this will be no short-term battle over truth in the public square - and remember, the other side, is doing its best to silence all opposition. So they don't believe in free speech either.  So sites like this one may need to be around for a while. After all, this is undoubtedly one of the leading and defining issues of our age scientifically, socially, culturally and morally.

If you know of anyone therefore who can advertise here (it doesn't cost much) or sponsor or donate to the work here the support would be most welcome support. Do also let as many people as possible know of the site's existence or email individual postings to them. My personal thanks to everyone, old friends and new friends, for the mass of suggestions, material, encouragement and thanks I have received - your input is necessary and valued!.  Finally, here's a quote I came across the other day:

Truth is a torch that gleams through the fog without dispelling it.
Claude Adrien Helvetius

It seems curiously appropriate, don't you think?  Peter C. Glover, site editor, GWH.com

I think that it has been amply demonstrated that this blog is needed and appreciated. You deserve our thanks.

It is interesting that the BBC (who only ever report one side of the debate) have, on their internetTalk site, allowed people to comment on the global warming issue. The response has been overwhelmingly sceptical which suggests that the BBC is fooling no one in NOT fullfilling its role of representing unbiased reporting. But then we all knew that.
